Who DNA Funded Suits
DNA Funded suits crypto CFD traders who want a choice between standard prop firm challenges, Instant Funding and a short 24-hour day-trading challenge.
The standard one and two step challenges start from $49 and suit traders who want a more traditional evaluation process, while the Rapid Challenge suits traders who want a shorter 10-day challenge with fees from $99. The Instant Funding account is for traders who want to skip the evaluation stage entirely for a premium, with fees starting at $199, while the 24-hour Challenge is for day traders who want a one-attempt format with a fixed target and payout multiple, with entry as low as $25.
With DNA Funded, crypto access is broadest on MetaTrader 5 (MT5), which currently supports 120+ simulated crypto CFDs, while the 24-hour Challenge has the smallest list, limited to Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, BNB, XRP, Cardano, Bitcoin Cash, Chainlink and Litecoin, all quoted against the US dollar (USD).
DNA Funded is less suited if a trader's objective is spot crypto ownership, higher crypto leverage, or the same trading rules across every challenge. Crypto leverage is capped at 2:1 with DNA Funded, weekend trading is not allowed on the Rapid, Instant Funding or 24-hour Challenge, and EAs are not allowed on Instant Funding or the 24-hour Challenge.

Evaluation Models and Account Sizes
| DNA Funded option | Account size | Evaluation model | Starting cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 Phase | $5K to $200K | One-step challenge | $59 |
| 2 Phase | $5K to $200K | Two-step challenge | $49 |
| Rapid Challenge | $10K to $100K | 10-calendar-day challenge | $99 |
| Instant Funding | $5K to $50K | No evaluation instant access | $199 |
| 24-hour Challenge | $20K fixed | One 24-hour challenge | $25 stake |
Fees and Pricing
DNA Funded's fee score is based on its upfront challenge costs, crypto commission, spreads, add-ons and refund policy. You pay for access to a simulated prop challenge or instant funding account, not trading your own capital deposited with a brokerage or exchange account.
The cheapest standard evaluation is the $5K 2 Phase challenge at $49. While the 24-hour Challenge starts from $25, it is not directly comparable with a normal challenge because it pays through a fixed multiplier rather than an ongoing funded-account split.
DNA Funded charges 0.01% crypto commission on notional trade volume when you open a position, with no crypto commission charged when closing the trade. If you open a $100,000 crypto CFD position, you pay $10 in commission before spread costs. The spread is separate and varies by pair, with examples including XRP/USD from 0.1 pips, ETH/USD from 20 pips, BTC/USD from 170 pips and SOL/USD from 200 pips.
Paid add-ons can change the real upfront cost
- DNA Funded starts standard funded accounts on an 80% profit split with a paid add-on available to increase this to 90%
- The Early Payout Booster can reduce first payout request eligibility from 14 days to 7 days
- DNA Funded does not refund challenge fees so the fee is still paid if you fail the challenge
For example, the $5K 2 Phase challenge starts from $49, but adding the 90% profit split add-on and Early Payout Booster increases the amount you pay before trading. This makes the headline fee useful for comparison, but not always the final checkout cost.
Trading Rules and Drawdown
DNA Funded's rules vary by account type, so the main thing to check is how the daily loss limit, total drawdown, minimum trading days and consistency rule work together. The standard evaluation accounts are easier to plan around because they use fixed maximum drawdown limits, while Instant Funding and the 24-hour Challenge use trailing drawdown.
For the 1 Phase, 2 Phase and Rapid Challenge accounts, there are two separate loss checks. The daily drawdown limits how much you can lose in one trading day and is balance-based, using the previous day's balance snapshot. The maximum drawdown is the total account loss limit and is static, meaning it is set from the initial account balance and does not trail higher when your account grows.
Instant Funding and the 24-hour Challenge work differently. They do not use the same daily drawdown structure as the standard evaluation accounts. Instead, the main risk limit is trailing drawdown, which can move up as the account grows. That can be tighter for crypto trading because a sharp move in your favour can lift the breach level, then leave less room if the market reverses.
| Rule | 1 Phase | 2 Phase | Rapid Challenge | Instant Funding | 24-hour Challenge |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Evaluation process | 1 step | 2 steps | 1 step | None | 24-hour attempt |
| Profit target | 10% | 8% then 5% | 5% | None | $350 to $1500 |
| Daily drawdown | 4% | 5% | 3% | N/A | N/A |
| Maximum drawdown | 6% static | 8% static | 5% static | 4% trailing | $100 to $300 trailing |
| Minimum trading days | 5 | 5 | 3 | 5 | N/A |
| Maximum trading days | Unlimited | Unlimited | 10 calendar days | Unlimited | 24 hours |
| Main consistency rule | 30% daily profit distribution | 30% daily profit distribution | 30% daily profit distribution | 30% daily profit distribution | Product-specific payout rules |
The other rule differences matter most if you trade around news, hold crypto positions over weekends or use automation. DNA Funded is more flexible on 1 Phase, 2 Phase and Rapid Challenge accounts, but more restrictive on Instant Funding and the 24-hour Challenge.
- News trading: allowed but funded accounts cannot open or close trades within 5 minutes before or after high-impact news
- Weekend trading: allowed on 1 Phase and 2 Phase; not allowed on Rapid Challenge Instant Funding or the 24-hour Challenge
- Expert Advisors: allowed on 1 Phase 2 Phase and Rapid Challenge; not allowed on Instant Funding or the 24-hour Challenge
- Copy trading: not allowed in the funded stage
- Minimum trade duration: trades must stay open for at least 60 seconds
- Inactivity rule: at least one trade every 30 days
- Prohibited strategies: Martingale grid trading tick scalping scalping under 30 seconds HFT gap trading third-party account management and market-abuse strategies
The 30% daily profit distribution rule is the main consistency rule to watch before requesting a payout. No more than 30% of a requested payout can come from one trading day, so a single breakout session may not count fully towards your next withdrawal. DNA Funded also caps the first three approved funded payouts at 5%, which is covered in more detail in the payout section below.
Payouts, Scaling and Funded-Account Terms
DNA Funded payouts are available every 14 days, with first payout request eligibility after 14 days or 7 days if you buy the Early Payout Booster. The funded-account terms are competitive on payout access and profit split, but weaker on withdrawal fees, non-refundable challenge fees and the 5% profit cap on the first three approved payouts.
Profit split
DNA Funded starts standard funded accounts on an 80% profit split. You can increase this to 90% with a paid add-on, but the higher split is not included in the base challenge fee. The 24-hour Challenge works differently because it uses a fixed payout multiple instead of the normal funded-account profit split.
| Profit area | DNA Funded terms |
|---|---|
| Base profit split | 80% |
| Higher profit split | 90% with paid add-on |
| 24-hour Challenge payout | Fixed payout multiple |
| First three funded payouts | 5% profit cap |
| After three successful payouts | 5% cap removed |
The 5% cap is the key funded-stage limitation. If you make more than 5% profit during one of the first three payout cycles, the extra profit is removed when the account resets after payout. This makes the early funded stage more restrictive than the headline 80% to 90% profit split suggests.
Withdrawals
DNA Funded supports crypto withdrawals and bank wire withdrawals. The timing is competitive for a prop firm, but withdrawal fees are the main downside because crypto payouts carry a percentage fee and bank wires carry a flat fee.
| Withdrawal area | DNA Funded terms |
|---|---|
| First payout request | After 14 days |
| Faster payout option | 7 days with Early Payout Booster |
| Standard payout cycle | Every 14 days |
| Payout processing | Usually 24 to 48 hours after review |
| KYC | Required on the initial withdrawal request |
| Standard minimum payout | $100 |
| 24-hour Challenge minimum payout | $10 crypto only |
| Crypto payout methods | TRC20 ERC20 and BTC |
| Crypto withdrawal fee | 1% |
| Bank wire withdrawal fee | $50 |
If your payout is below $100, you need to use crypto. This matters most on smaller funded accounts and the 24-hour Challenge, where the minimum crypto-only payout is lower but the 1% crypto withdrawal fee still applies.
Scaling plan
DNA Funded lists maximum simulated funded capital of up to $600,000. Account merging is not allowed, so this is better described as maximum allocation rather than a simple account-merging or automatic scaling ladder.
Scaling is not the first thing to optimise for in the funded stage. The first three approved payouts are still capped at 5%, so the early priority is meeting the payout rules, passing review and avoiding a breach. After three successful payouts, the 5% cap is removed and the funded account becomes more flexible.
We scored DNA Funded's Funding and Withdrawals 8/10 because it offers a 14-day payout cycle, 7-day payout eligibility with an add-on, crypto withdrawals, bank wire withdrawals and an 80% to 90% profit split. It loses points because crypto withdrawals cost 1%, bank wires cost $50, challenge fees are non-refundable and the first three funded payouts are capped at 5%.
Example of costs for $50K 2 Phase Challenge
For a real-life cost example, take the $50K 2 Phase challenge with no paid add-ons. The upfront challenge fee is $289. This is the amount you pay to enter the evaluation, not a deposit into a trading account, and DNA Funded does not refund the fee if you fail the challenge.
The 2 Phase challenge has two evaluation targets before you reach the funded-account stage. On a $50K account, the Phase 1 target is 8%, which means you need to make $4000 in simulated profit. Phase 2 has a 5% target, which means another $2500 in simulated profit. These targets help you qualify for a funded-style account, but they are not withdrawable profits.
Once funded, standard accounts start with an 80% profit split unless you buy the paid profit-split booster to increase it to 90%. DNA Funded also caps the first three approved funded payouts at 5%. On a $50K funded account, that means the first payout cycle is effectively capped at $2500 in account profit before the profit split.
| Cost or payout item | Example amount |
|---|---|
| $50K 2 Phase challenge fee | $289 |
| Phase 1 profit target (8% of $50K) | $4000 |
| Phase 2 profit target (5% of $50K) | $2500 |
| Example first funded payout cap (5% of $50K) | $2500 |
| Trader share at 80% profit split | $2000 |
| Crypto withdrawal fee at 1% | $20 |
| Estimated crypto payout after withdrawal fee | $1980 |
| Net after original $289 challenge fee | $1691 |
Platforms and Trading Tools
DNA Funded supports MetaTrader 5 (MT5) and TradeLocker for crypto prop trading. MT5 is the better fit if you use Expert Advisors, custom indicators or backtesting, while TradeLocker is better for manual chart-based trading. MT4, cTrader, DXtrade and native TradingView accounts are not available.
| Platform or tool | DNA Funded availability | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| MetaTrader 5 (MT5) | Available | You can use EAs custom indicators backtesting and more advanced order management |
| TradeLocker | Available | You get a modern manual trading platform with TradingView-style charting |
| MetaTrader 4 (MT4) | Not available | You cannot use older MT4 indicators EAs or templates |
| cTrader | Not available | You do not get cTrader order tools automation or depth features |
| DXtrade | Not available | You cannot choose DXtrade as your prop trading platform |
| Native TradingView account | Not available | You need to use TradeLocker for TradingView-style charts instead |
MT5 vs TradeLocker
MT5 is the better fit if your crypto strategy depends on automation, custom indicators, backtesting or more detailed order control. It is the more flexible option for technical setups, especially if you already use MetaTrader tools.
TradeLocker is the better fit if you trade manually and want cleaner charting, one-click order entry, on-chart trading and built-in stop-loss and take-profit tools. It is easier to use than MT5, but it is less suitable if your strategy depends on automated execution.
Expert Advisors and automation
EA access depends on the account type, not just the platform. MT5 supports automated trading, but DNA Funded only allows EAs on selected challenges.
| DNA Funded account | EAs and algorithmic trading |
|---|---|
| 1 Phase | Allowed |
| 2 Phase | Allowed |
| Rapid Challenge | Allowed |
| Instant Funding | Not allowed |
| 24-hour Challenge | Not allowed |
This matters if you use automated crypto strategies, as you'll need to choose 1 Phase, 2 Phase or Rapid Challenge if you want to run EAs. Instant Funding and the 24-hour Challenge are manual trading only accounts.
Crypto Markets and Coverage
DNA Funded allows crypto trading through 120+ simulated crypto CFDs, with all crypto products quoted against the US dollar. Crypto access is available across all five account types, although MT5 has the broadest market list and the 24-hour Challenge is limited to nine major USD pairs.
Crypto CFD range
DNA Funded's crypto range goes well beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum. You can trade majors, Layer 1s, scaling networks, DeFi tokens, infrastructure assets, AI and data tokens, gaming coins, metaverse assets, meme coins and payment-related altcoins through simulated CFD-style prop firm accounts.
| Crypto category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Majors and high-liquidity coins | Bitcoin / Ethereum / XRP / Bitcoin Cash / Litecoin / Dogecoin / Dash |
| Layer 1s and scaling networks | Cardano / Solana / Avalanche / Polkadot / Cosmos / Sui / Aptos / Arbitrum and more |
| DeFi and staking assets | Aave / Uniswap / Maker / Curve / Injective / Lido / Synthetix and more |
| Infrastructure AI data and wrapped assets | Chainlink / Render / Filecoin / The Graph / Fetch.ai / Quant / Wrapped Bitcoin and more |
| Gaming metaverse meme and payment coins | ApeCoin / Axie Infinity / The Sandbox / Decentraland / Pepe / Shiba Inu and more |
These are simulated crypto CFDs, not spot crypto assets. You do not own the underlying coin, use a crypto wallet or withdraw crypto from the trading account. You are trading crypto price exposure inside DNA Funded's prop firm structure.
Crypto access by account type
Crypto trading is available on 1 Phase, 2 Phase, Rapid Challenge, Instant Funding and the 24-hour Challenge with the main difference being market depth. MT5 gives you the broadest list, while the 24-hour Challenge has a much smaller crypto selection.
| Account or platform | Crypto access |
|---|---|
| MT5 | Broadest access with 120+ simulated crypto CFDs |
| TradeLocker | Crypto available but with a smaller market list than MT5 |
| 1 Phase | Crypto trading available |
| 2 Phase | Crypto trading available |
| Rapid Challenge | Crypto trading available |
| Instant Funding | Crypto trading available |
| 24-hour Challenge | Limited to Bitcoin Ethereum Solana BNB XRP Cardano Bitcoin Cash Chainlink and Litecoin |
The 24-hour Challenge suits major-pair crypto trading more than altcoin trading. It covers the main USD-quoted pairs, but it does not give you the full 120+ crypto CFD list available on MT5.

Crypto leverage and other asset classes
DNA Funded caps crypto leverage at 2:1 across its main challenge products and the 24-hour Challenge. That is lower than some crypto prop competitors, but it is also more conservative for fast-moving crypto CFDs.
| Asset class | Maximum leverage |
|---|---|
| Crypto | 2:1 |
| Stocks | 5:1 |
| Indices | 10:1 |
| Commodities | 10:1 |
| Forex | 50:1 |
DNA Funded also gives access to forex, indices, commodities and stocks. This helps if you trade crypto as part of a wider CFD strategy, where Bitcoin and Ethereum often move with USD strength, gold, indices and broader risk sentiment.
DNA Funded vs FundedNext vs FXIFY
DNA Funded is the best fit if you want the widest crypto CFD coverage across multiple challenge types. But, FXIFY is stronger if you want dedicated crypto prop accounts, higher crypto leverage and a crypto-first structure, and FundedNext offers better payout infrastructure and general CFD prop trading conditions, but weaker for crypto market coverage.
| Feature | DNA Funded | FundedNext | FXIFY |
|---|---|---|---|
| Overall score | 85/100 | 73/100 | 88/100 |
| Best for | Broad crypto CFD access across multiple challenge types | Fast payouts and general CFD prop trading | Dedicated crypto prop accounts and higher major-coin leverage |
| Crypto markets | 120+ simulated crypto CFDs | 9 crypto CFDs | 80+ Tether-quoted crypto assets |
| Crypto leverage | 2:1 | 1:1 | 5:1 on BTC/ETH/SOL and 2:1 on other crypto assets |
| Min cost | $49 (2 phase) or $25 (24 hr stake) | $32.99 | $59 |
| Platforms | MT5 and TradeLocker | MT4 MT5 cTrader and Match-Trader | DXTrade for crypto accounts |
| Profit split | 80% or 90% with add-on | Up to 95% with add-on | 80% bi-weekly or 100% monthly on Crypto Standard |
| Main drawback | First three funded payouts have a 5% profit cap | Crypto list and leverage are limited | Crypto accounts do not allow EAs bots or copy trading |
DNA Funded has the widest crypto coverage of the three if your priority is market range. You get access to 120+ simulated crypto CFDs, and crypto trading is available across 1 Phase, 2 Phase, Rapid Challenge, Instant Funding and the 24-hour Challenge, yet the downside is that crypto leverage is capped at 2:1 and the first-three-payout profit cap makes the early funded stage less flexible.
In our FundedNext review, we found the prop firm is the better option if you care more about profit payout infrastructure over the range of cryptocurrencies. FundedNext offers USDT and USDC withdrawals, 24-hour payout processing and strong scaling into the millions, but its crypto offer is thinner because it lists only nine crypto CFDs and caps crypto leverage at 1:1. That makes FundedNext a better general prop firm than a crypto-first prop firm.
FXIFY is the most direct crypto rival because it has purpose-built crypto prop accounts, not just crypto access inside a general CFD challenge. As explained in more detail in the full FXIFY review, the two pure crypto trading accounts are Crypto Instant Funding, which gives direct funded-style access with no evaluation, and Crypto Standard 1 Step, which is the lower-cost challenge with a 100% monthly performance split option, fee refund and scaling.
Is DNA Funded Legit and Safe?
Yes, DNA Funded appears legitimate as a prop firm broker-backed by DNA Markets, but it is not a regulated crypto broker or crypto exchange. You trade simulated CFDs through DNA Funded's prop firm model, not a live broker account in your own name, and payouts depend on passing its trading rules, KYC and review process.
| Safety area | DNA Funded details |
|---|---|
| Product type | Simulated prop firm challenge and funded-style account |
| Operating company | DNA Funded Ltd |
| Company location | Incorporated in Saint Lucia |
| Broker backing | DNA Markets |
| Trading method | Simulated CFDs not spot crypto ownership |
| Crypto wallet required | No |
| Regulated crypto exchange | No |
| Regulated crypto broker account in your name | No |
| Australian availability | Not available to Australian residents |
| US platform restriction | US residents are restricted from purchasing an MT5 challenge |
The main limitation is that broker backing does not give you normal broker-style protections on the prop firm account. You are paying for challenge access, trading under DNA Funded's rules, and receiving payouts only if the account passes review, KYC and any extra verification.
Country restrictions are also important as DNA Funded does not accept prop traders from Australia as well as Saint Lucia, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Myanmar, Russia, Ukraine-restricted regions, Somalia, Syria, Central African Republic, Mali, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Guinea-Bissau, Sudan, South Sudan, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Yemen, Zimbabwe and Libya.
DNA Funded Verdict
DNA Funded scored 85/100, making it one of the stronger crypto prop firms we reviewed. We recommend it if you want broad crypto CFD coverage, MT5 or TradeLocker access, and several account options, including one-step, two-step, Rapid Challenge, Instant Funding and the 24-hour Challenge.
Its main strengths are the 120+ simulated crypto CFDs, low 0.01% crypto commission at position opening, standard challenge entry from $49, 24-hour Challenge entry from $25, and an 80% profit split that can increase to 90% with a paid add-on. First payout request eligibility is also competitive at 14 days, or 7 days with the Early Payout Booster.
FAQs
Is DNA Funded good for crypto prop trading?
Yes, DNA Funded is a strong crypto prop firm option if you want broker-backed trading conditions, 120+ simulated crypto CFDs, TradeLocker, MT5 and crypto access across all five account types. The main limits are 2:1 crypto leverage, a 5% profit cap on the first three funded payouts, withdrawal fees, and different EA or weekend trading rules depending on the account type.
What cryptocurrencies can I trade with DNA Funded?
DNA Funded offers 120+ simulated crypto CFDs, with crypto products priced against the US dollar. The range includes major coins, Layer 1s, DeFi tokens, infrastructure assets, AI and data tokens, gaming coins, meme coins and payment-related altcoins. The 24-hour Challenge is more limited, with BTC/USD, ETH/USD, SOL/USD, BNB/USD, XRP/USD, ADA/USD, BCH/USD, LINK/USD and LTC/USD.
What is DNA Funded's crypto commission?
DNA Funded charges crypto commission at 0.01% of notional volume when you open a position. The bid/ask spread is separate and varies by market, with examples including XRP/USD from 0.1 pips, ETH/USD from 20 pips, BTC/USD from 170 pips and SOL/USD from 200 pips. Active crypto traders should factor in both commission and spread.
What is DNA Funded's profit split?
DNA Funded starts standard funded accounts on an 80% profit split, with a paid add-on available to increase this to 90%. The profit split does not automatically scale to 90% unless you buy the add-on. The 24-hour Challenge works differently because it pays a fixed multiple of your stake instead of the normal funded-account profit split.
How long do DNA Funded payouts take?
DNA Funded's first standard funded-account payout request is available after 14 days, or 7 days with the Early Payout Booster add-on. Payout requests are usually processed within 24 to 48 hours after risk review, KYC checks and any extra verification. Crypto withdrawals cost 1%, while bank wire withdrawals cost $50.
Can I use Expert Advisors with DNA Funded?
Yes, DNA Funded allows Expert Advisors and algorithmic trading on 1 Phase, 2 Phase and Rapid Challenge accounts. EAs are not allowed on Instant Funding or the 24-hour Challenge, so account type matters if your crypto strategy uses automation. MT5 is the better fit for EA users, while TradeLocker is better for manual chart-based crypto trading.
What is DNA Funded's drawdown rule?
DNA Funded's drawdown rule depends on the account type. 1 Phase has 6% static max drawdown, 2 Phase has 8% static max drawdown, and Rapid Challenge has 5% static max drawdown. Instant Funding uses 4% trailing drawdown, while the 24-hour Challenge uses a dollar-based trailing drawdown between $100 and $300, depending on the selected stake and multiplier.
Is DNA Funded regulated or broker-backed?
DNA Funded is broker-backed by DNA Markets, but DNA Funded itself is a prop firm rather than a regulated crypto broker or crypto exchange. You trade simulated funded accounts under prop firm rules, with payout approval, KYC checks and breach conditions. While the broker-backed setup improves infrastructure credibility, regulated broker-style protections do not automatically apply to DNA Funded challenges or funded accounts.
